You’re right, Mara. I have no idea what it’s like to be a Queen. My society is governed by a Consensus. Our leaders don’t have the luxury of making selfish decisions without consequence because they’d just lose their job. We don’t worry about a single ruler making irrevocable decisions that are shrouded in secret and result in massive loss of life. Raising your voice to my Ghost in response to legitimate criticism indicates that criticism isn’t something you’re used to–which in my humble opinion, is not healthy for an immortal monarch.
Just remember that you’re screaming at the Guardian who makes a habit out of evicting folks from their Throne Worlds.
I really wish Mara would get the fuck off her throne and actually communicate to her people. Ghost raised several valid points and it doesn’t help that she belittled ghost because she isn’t helping. The dreaming city has been corrupted for 6 weeks. A cycle of corruption and destruction with no end in sight and only cryptic clues. Of course people would be stressed and angry. All y'all saying Mara is valid on telling our ghost off don’t deserve them.
Keeping Uldren’s past a secret from him is going to be so hard because he’ll keep asking/doing things and everyone will have to use 100% of their self restraint to keep a straight face.
